Founder welcome

Welcome to
Selena’s Decorum.

Every young person deserves to understand how to carry themselves with confidence, communicate with respect, and approach new opportunities with preparation and purpose.

As an etiquette instructor certified to teach children and teens through the American School of Protocol in Atlanta, Georgia, I created Selena’s Decorum to provide thoughtful, practical guidance for the real situations young people encounter—in school, in the community, and as they prepare for the workplace.

Our instruction is designed to meet students where they are, give them space to practice, and help them recognize that professionalism is not about becoming someone else. It is about developing the awareness, character, and skills to present the best of who they are.

With purpose and grace,
Selena McDonald

Our story

Making the
unwritten visible.

Young people are often expected to know how to make a strong introduction, communicate professionally, navigate formal settings, or prepare for an interview—yet those expectations are not always explained or practiced.

Selena’s Decorum was founded to help close that preparation gap. Through age-appropriate etiquette education and professional development, we break broad expectations into clear skills students can understand, practice, and carry forward.

The work is rooted in a simple belief: preparation should be taught with clarity, dignity, and encouragement. When students understand what is expected and have meaningful opportunities to practice, they can approach unfamiliar rooms with greater assurance.
